If you’re struggling to break free of food addiction or an eating disorder, going it alone is never a good idea. I started this space to share my own struggles with the Bright Line Eating community, and that’s been extremely helpful for me – and hopefully, for others as well.
With the help of my Facebook group – Bright Line Eating Canadians – my Mastermind group, and the Gideon Games, I’ve been able to make huge strides toward food freedom and a right sized body. But I also have a few small advantages.
Healthcare to Complement BLE
I’ve been in school, immersing myself in the science of Naturopathic Medicine. I was seeing a Naturopathic Intern on a weekly basis, receiving counselling related to my thought patterns; homeopathic, supplement, and herbal prescriptions to balance my hormones, increase my energy, and boost my metabolism; and treatments with hydrotherapy, acupuncture, and cupping. And now, after 5 years of schooling and 1 year of studying for qualification exams (and going through the paperwork of registration), I am now a Naturopathic Doctor.
I know many of you are doing well with BLE just by reading the book and connecting with the online community. Some of you may even have friends or family going on this journey with you, or a local group that meets in person. And that is wonderful. I love BLE, and I strongly believe Susan Peirce Thompson has gifted the world with something monumental. It could change your life. It could change the course of the future.

But some of you may feel a little lost in the fog.
- Maybe, like me, you have extra challenges that BLE alone can’t necessarily address.
- Maybe you believe that BLE is the answer for you, but for some reason, you can’t stick with it.
- Maybe you’ve been sticking to your lines perfectly, but your progress has stalled.
- Maybe you have specific health conditions and are wondering how you can do BLE safely.
- Or maybe you’re doing so well with BLE, you want to know what else you can do to optimize your health!
And if that’s the case, I would encourage you to seek out professional help.
Make the Most of your BLE Journey
Naturopathic Medicine – along with Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, Homeopathy, and even Massage – is, in my opinion, the best medical care for complementing Bright Line Eating, or any weight loss journey.

Find a Doctor who Understands
If you’re living in Ontario, you’re in luck: you can book with me: a Naturopathic Doctor who understands Bright Line Eating and knows what it is to feel out of control when it comes to food. I’ve had some very wonderful doctors who cared about my health and fought for me, and I’m extremely grateful for them. But I never had the courage to explain what was really going on in my life. I tried once or twice, but the look of confusion on their faces stopped me cold. Food addiction is one of those things that just doesn’t compute with a lot of people.
Sometimes, when it comes to your healthcare, it just feels good to speak with someone who understands what you’re going through. And now, I could be that person.
